It’s complete name is: Esky Honey Bee King II. Made in China of course

This electric heli is not a toy. Serious injury might happened if care is not the priority. There are some cautions regarding the safety:

Always taking care of power-on & power-off procedure. To power-on: turn on the transmitter, then turn on the heli. To power-off: turn off the heli first, then the transmitter.

Keep the bird out of reach of the children

Take care of the surroudings, never fly near obstacles.

Discipline, one at a time, never rush (i.e. wants to do 3D asap)

Take RADD’s school of rotary flight first.

Oh, this one is funny…

A best friend of mine, which is now reside on the other side of the island coincidentally talking about the new hottest obsession of ours… you know as a grown up sometimes we still have a part of a child in our inner being…

The conversation was as hot as when some teenagers talking about the new chick in the block, or when they saw their idol in the neighborhood… especially when the topic is the same: mini helicopters

Oh no.. that’s not the one you saw in the toy shop… it’s some realistic heli model which has a yellow label on their box: “Warning it’s not a toy”, using the same mechanics as a real heli does and the difficulties as hard as TOEFL test (some say it takes months to make the heli hover - that’s stay in one place and not going anywhere, up in the air).

The biggest challenge ahead to us: to convince the ministry of finance to approve the budget plan or to raise funds.

Here is the how-to:

Sell lemonade in your cubicle to raise funds –> seems like a plausible solution

Grow your own hydroponics, so instead of buying your lunch you can cook those vegetables at lunch time and save the money in the piggy bank

Ask your friend to buy the goods, send him the money, wrap it, and send it to you as a “Christmas Gift” or a delayed “Birthday Gift”, or “Hanukkah gift”, or “Father’s Day Gift” or whatever gift you may think of…

Research a renewable source of energy, small enough to fit in your car (a small fuel cell plant is a good example). Install a fake gas tanks then sell the unused gas to your colleague at discounted rate.

Ask your boss to buy the goods, he may like it as you do and maybe he ask you to play it with him…

Have some theatrical tools to change your face in a way that the shop’s owner will not notice every time a gentleman ask to make the demonstration, and then ask the shop’s owner to hand-off the control to him.

Have any other idea???? submit it to the comments section…

PS: I just saw a shop sell them at discounted rate… irresistible :((

Having amazed by what of the two ‘boys’ from Stanford of what they have done which is also known of one of the most important invention in the Internet History. Sergei Brin and Larry Page still in their early 30s are doing of what Internet people are dreaming: having fun and make money. No doubt they have the two.

They are inventing the famous method of putting a weight to a website by using their patented algorithm called “PageRank”. As you may notice that the name came from one of the duo. The simple version of this algorithm is that the ‘importance’ of a web page will be determined by other web which having a link to it. It will count the quantity (how many link to that website) and also the quality (who link to that website). Say if you have a link in CNN homepage, then you’re seriously famous and you shall have the honor to have higher pagerank, and thus will have the bigger chance of being appear in a search result.

Now, what about on our work. I notice that this PageRank algorithm is applied to our daily work, let’s call it pseudo-PageRank [forgive me google boys if I steal your term]. The mechanics is still the same: you are what other people ‘linked’ to. Say, if you are known by a high profile people then there will be greater chance of you being ‘in-sight’ and a bigger chance of promotion. Provided that you are more to ‘famous’ than ‘notorious’.

What technical guys do, and how they think, and how they act, is that what matters most is the know-how. They are continuously studying to be the best of their area, more certification, more trainings. But few are having this kind of sight: the importance of being somebody to the management [i.e. the decision makers - no matters how un-techie they are]

Being a technical guy myself, I have very long learning curve on this. Years and years of continuous technical learning, and more people with less technical expertise was already taken off to the moon.

Sounds familiar?

Thanks to Linkedin, I understand that my ex colleague that is now on a higher position is doing their job both technically and strategically. Some of them are being the job-in-a-year mode (I know some of them doing three-in-a-year mode). Some of them are being soooo patience of years of service in a same company. But something I know that PR is needed, even in our workplace.

I am introvert people, even in a MIBT test I score perfect in this area (I am a INTP kind of person, mind you). Thus I must work very hard to achieve this goal. I have to love people, love my boss [genuinely] and to be carefully not being a licker myself [ay... I hate this kind of species, more on this latter on the other post].

This heli is the cheapest 6 Channel Model Heli you can find in the market. Here is the list of it’s standard package:

In brief:

The heli is having two motors. One for the main shaft and the other is for the tail shaft. This configuration is much simpler it terms of mechanical, but the fact that the motors is only communicating by the mercy of the speed controller it will decrease the stability of such configuration.

EK2-0406 is the entry level 6CH transmitter from Esky. It does 6 channel control but it lacks throttle & pitch curve control usually found on 6 channel transmitter. It is coupled with EK2-0702A receiver (or controller) which will react to the command sent through the transmitter.

EK-0702A is a “4 in 1″ controller. It contains Mixer, Receiver, Gyro, ESC alltogether. The advantages of this system is much cheaper than separate device for each function and much simpler, but the drawbacks it is hard to change the main motor to brushless type.

EK2-0500 is the servo which will control the CCPM system found in this heli.

EK1-0180 is the main battery for the heli, but seems like the Indonesian version will equipped with Li-po instead

Charger, adapter is just the usual thing found on the battery equipped device.

Features

You can begin to fly after fixing the battery and unwrapping the packing

3D aerial acrobatics is available

Flight is stable, reaction is sensitive and rapid, and controllability is good

Designed with beginner and 3D fun flyers in mind

Simple structure ensures convenient adjustment and maintenance

Summary

It does what a 6 channel heli should do (collective-pitch) and the manufacturer says it will do it just fine. But the lack of throttle & pitch curve control will limit it capabilities.

From price-to-performance ratio this heli should be perfect for the intermediate player. But for the serious one, it should be considered that the transmitter system limit the customization and upgrade path for the future.

This heli is the intermediate 6ch electric helicopter. Here is the list of it’s standard package:

In Brief

The heli is using belt to drive the back rotor, means the stability is more agile.

EK20406A transmitter is the one also found on the esky’s masterpiece (Belt CP). It has the pitch & throttle curve control thus it is possible to configure the flying characteristic of the heli (stable, aerobatic, wind). It is coupled with the receiver, ESC, servo and the gyro.

EK2-0600A ESC, will control the power of the motor.

EK2-0500 8g servo will control the movement of the heli itself.

EK1-0180 is the Li-Po battery.

Charger and adapter is the usual stuff

EK2-0420A 6CH receiver will receive command from the transmitter and will react accordingly.

EK2-0704 is the gyro which will coordinates the movement stability of the heli by coordinating the speed of the motors

Features

Adopted CCPM (Collective cyclic pitch mixing) system, make rolling, dive, inverted flying and 3D aerobatic acts are displayed perfectly, which will bring you endless pleasant surprise.

Integrated main body structure, light & novel design, and auto-Rotation System with high-precision one-way shaft bearing can protect safe landing effectively

Tail rotor with Belt driven construction, which can ensure easy adjustment, stable flight and low noise.

Adopt 370 super motor with high performance, the power is driving.

Equipped 6 channel transmitter, which can adjust parameters precisely, so that the precision and stabilization of flight can be well displayed.

Summary

It’s the medium type of heli which will do all the movement possible for a 6 channels heli should. The difference with the Belt CP is the material used and also the magnetic motor which is inferior to the brushless one.

The price is slightly higher than the HB CP2, but it cheaper than the Belt CP. If there are more budget it should be considered to have the Belt CP instead.

This is the professional heli one should have as a serious hard-core-type of hobbiest [electric version]. It is much cheaper than the engine type one with the same capabilities (minus the distinct sound). Here is the list of the standard package (Ready To Fly [RTF] version):

In Brief

The heli compared with the previous two, this heli employed one motor configuration. The tail rotor is driven by a belt [thus the name came from] and the advantage is that the movement of the tail rotor will always in sync with the main motor.

EK1-0350A ESC, will control the power of the brushless motor. Unlike the King II, this ESC special design for brushless motor type.

EK2-0500 8g servo will control the movement of the heli itself.

EK1-0186 is the battery [should be LiPo instead]

Charger and adapter is the usual stuff

EK2-0420A 6CH receiver will receive command from the transmitter and will react accordingly.

EK2-0704 is the gyro which will coordinates the movement stability of the heli by coordinating the speed of the motors

EK5-0006 Brushless motor. This is the ultimate motor for the electric type heli. It has more power and reliability since it doesn’t use ‘brush’ inside the motor.

Features

CCPM System

Auto-rotation Stystem

Tail rotor Belt Drive System

High Inertial Main Blade

High Rigidity Iron Main Shaft

Shock Proof Iron Landing Skids

Full Ball Bearing & Metal Ball End

High rigidity alloy tail boom

High Strength Carbon Fibre Tail Stand

Summary

Stable and reliable.

This is the ultimate non-engine type of heli. It features the complete set of aeromodelling heli should be minus the cost.

Other Type

There are another type of this heli which using carbon fibre instead of metal. This heli is very rigid and powerful since this material is fond of it’s strengt, durability and lightweight:
