Well finaly this bird is found it’s nest. It’s 10% discount at a mall next to my office, good deal!

It’s complete name is: Esky Honey Bee King II. Made in China of course :)

This electric heli is not a toy. Serious injury might happened if care is not the priority. There are some cautions regarding the safety:

  1. Always taking care of power-on & power-off procedure. To power-on: turn on the transmitter, then turn on the heli. To power-off: turn off the heli first, then the transmitter.
  2. Keep the bird out of reach of the children
  3. Take care of the surroudings, never fly near obstacles.
  4. Discipline, one at a time, never rush (i.e. wants to do 3D asap)

EK1H-E005

This heli is the cheapest 6 Channel Model Heli you can find in the market. Here is the list of it’s standard package:

In brief:

  1. The heli is having two motors. One for the main shaft and the other is for the tail shaft. This configuration is much simpler it terms of mechanical, but the fact that the motors is only communicating by the mercy of the speed controller it will decrease the stability of such configuration.
  2. EK2-0406 is the entry level 6CH transmitter from Esky. It does 6 channel control but it lacks throttle & pitch curve control usually found on 6 channel transmitter. It is coupled with EK2-0702A receiver (or controller) which will react to the command sent through the transmitter.
  3. EK-0702A is a “4 in 1″ controller. It contains Mixer, Receiver, Gyro, ESC alltogether. The advantages of this system is much cheaper than separate device for each function and much simpler, but the drawbacks it is hard to change the main motor to brushless type.
  4. EK2-0500 is the servo which will control the CCPM system found in this heli.
  5. EK1-0180 is the main battery for the heli, but seems like the Indonesian version will equipped with Li-po instead
  6. Charger, adapter is just the usual thing found on the battery equipped device.

  1. You can begin to fly after fixing the battery and unwrapping the packing

Summary

  1. It does what a 6 channel heli should do (collective-pitch) and the manufacturer says it will do it just fine. But the lack of throttle & pitch curve control will limit it capabilities.
  2. From price-to-performance ratio this heli should be perfect for the intermediate player. But for the serious one, it should be considered that the transmitter system limit the customization and upgrade path for the future.

EK1H-E016

This heli is the intermediate 6ch electric helicopter. Here is the list of it’s standard package:

In Brief

  1. The heli is using belt to drive the back rotor, means the stability is more agile.
  2. EK20406A transmitter is the one also found on the esky’s masterpiece (Belt CP). It has the pitch & throttle curve control thus it is possible to configure the flying characteristic of the heli (stable, aerobatic, wind). It is coupled with the receiver, ESC, servo and the gyro.
  3. EK2-0600A ESC, will control the power of the motor.
  4. EK2-0500 8g servo will control the movement of the heli itself.
  5. EK1-0180 is the Li-Po battery.
  6. Charger and adapter is the usual stuff
  7. EK2-0420A 6CH receiver will receive command from the transmitter and will react accordingly.
  8. EK2-0704 is the gyro which will coordinates the movement stability of the heli by coordinating the speed of the motors

  1. It’s the medium type of heli which will do all the movement possible for a 6 channels heli should. The difference with the Belt CP is the material used and also the magnetic motor which is inferior to the brushless one.
  2. The price is slightly higher than the HB CP2, but it cheaper than the Belt CP. If there are more budget it should be considered to have the Belt CP instead.

EK1H-E013

This is the professional heli one should have as a serious hard-core-type of hobbiest [electric version]. It is much cheaper than the engine type one with the same capabilities (minus the distinct sound). Here is the list of the standard package (Ready To Fly [RTF] version):

  1. The heli compared with the previous two, this heli employed one motor configuration. The tail rotor is driven by a belt [thus the name came from] and the advantage is that the movement of the tail rotor will always in sync with the main motor.
  2. EK20406A transmitter is the one also found on the esky’s masterpiece (Belt CP). It has the pitch & throttle curve control thus it is possible to configure the flying characteristic of the heli (stable, aerobatic, wind). It is coupled with the receiver, ESC, servo and the gyro.
  3. EK1-0350A ESC, will control the power of the brushless motor. Unlike the King II, this ESC special design for brushless motor type.
  4. EK2-0500 8g servo will control the movement of the heli itself.
  5. EK1-0186 is the battery [should be LiPo instead]
  6. Charger and adapter is the usual stuff
  7. EK2-0420A 6CH receiver will receive command from the transmitter and will react accordingly.

  9. EK5-0006 Brushless motor. This is the ultimate motor for the electric type heli. It has more power and reliability since it doesn’t use ‘brush’ inside the motor.
